Ob Jesus gelebt hat oder nicht, er ist ein Messias!

Laut Wikipedia: Er wird im biblischen Kontext teils für die Hohepriester (in der Zeit nach dem Ende des Königtums) verwendet, vor allem aber als Bezeichnung für den rechtmäßigen, von Gott eingesetzten König der Juden.

Ich schaute in der Jewish Encyclopedia nach und gebe hier einen winzigen Auszug wieder:
MESSIAH (Hebr., "Ha-Mashiaḥ"; Aramaic, "Meshiḥa" = "anointed one"):
The Name. The name or title of the ideal king of the Messianic age; used also without the article as a proper name—"Mashiaḥ" (in the Babylonian Talmud and in the midrash literature), like Χριστός in the Gospels. The Grecized Μεσσιας of the New Testament (John i. 41, iv. 25) is a transliteration of the Aramaic form, Aramaic being the spoken language of Palestine in the time of Jesus.  "The Messiah" (with the article and not in apposition with another word) is, however, not an Old Testament expression, but occurs for the first time in apocalyptic literature . . . .
